Further Information:
Lives near sandy shores and amongst seaweeds at depths down to 20m. Transparent or straw-coloured and rather difficult to spot when at rest on the sand. Swims for short periods, but normally remains on the bottom, where it feeds on small underwater creatures. Ocassionally found upland on the shore for a short while. Edible and scarce, about 9-10mm long.
